Darren Christensen User Experience Architect

Darren Christensen

Darren is moving from the physical world to a more abstract plane. He spent over ten years designing technical consoles and specialized oilfield service equipment. Now he's bringing his experience and expertise to a new set of challenges.

Beyond work, Darren spends time chasing twin boys around the house, playing hockey, firing up the barbecue and relaxing. His travels take him towards beaches and scuba diving.

Darren began his career designing furniture and consoles for clients such as NASA, Air Canada and EDS. His most memorable project was the control room consoles for the space shuttle launch.

Later, like most everyone in Calgary does eventually, he moved to the oil business, designing complex service equipment, including semi-trailers full of machinery that none of us would ever understand.

Darren's unique background as a designer of physical environments brings a fresh perspective to the user experience practice. Since joining the UX Guys in 2009 he has worked a number of different projects and clients, particularly staff augmentation for other interactive agencies.

Darren joined UX Guys in 2009, and is currently a user experience architect developing solutions for Enmax, Wholesale Sports, Lowe's and Pepsi.
